Young Professional Advisory Board

The United Way Young Professional Advisory Board/Committee is for Young Professionals that either work or live in the Greater Valley Area who want to support the Valley United Way by actively fundraising, participating in leadership opportunities and spreading awareness of the organization to peers. It is meant to inspire the next generation of board members across the Greater Valley Area and beyond as these young professionals grow into young philanthropists and involved members of their community.   The communities and individuals are core to the mission of the Valley United Way.  As a result, there is a need to have young professionals that are advocates for our communities.  Young Professional Advisory Board/Committee will be responsible for creating fundraising ideas to bring young professionals together, create networking events and help spread awareness of United Way.   The Young Professional Advisory Board will have the opportunity to be a part of improving the lives of others, having an impact on the community, learning from a network of mentors and community leaders.

Requirements:

  • Must live or work in the Greater Valley Area
  • Must be within the age range of 21-40 years of age
  • Must be willing to attend schedule Young Professional Advisory Board Meetings/Committee meetings (in-person or webex)
  • Must be willing to attend (2) United Way Events or community events (Gala, Volunteer Celebration, Communitini, Harvest House, etc)
