The Rubber Supplies "Ringers" team composed of Jed Manion and Tony Veneri proved aptly named as they sept to victory in a twenty-eight team field in the Bassett's Trim Horseshoes Competitin. In doing so, the "Ringers" defeated another Rubber Supplies team, "ZZ Tops", in the championship game. Neil O'Marra and John Kochis were members of ZZ Tops.
Gordon Rubber's Bob Wrigley and Henry Nizgorski finished tied for third with United Illuminating's #1 team of Bob Esposito and Mike Cruise.
