For the third time in four years, United Illuminating has won the Corporate Cup Bowling Tournament as they ran away from the filed to post an impressive victory. The victorious electricians posted a total score of 2,134 behind Glenn Varney's high triple score of 626. They took the lead after the first game and never looked back in reclaiming the crown they last won in 1998. The competition for the next three spots could not have been closer as Gordon Rubber (1,910) topped Griffin Powerballs (1,909) by one pin which finished one pin ahead of Plastic Molding Technology (1,909). Griffin Hospital rounded out the top five with a score of 1,834. Defending champion Bassett's Trim finished in the sixth spot. Bob Likely of Microboard Processing posted the highest single score of the day when he bowled 254 in his first game of the day. Click Here for Bowling Photo Album
