GE Foundation Helps United Way Campaign

Corporate Gift Launches United Way Campaign

Ron Villani brightened the day at Valley United Way when he delivered the good news of a $20,000 donation to the United Way campaign. Pictured with Ron is Lorraine Kiliany, Campaign Director at Valley United Way.

The GE Fund, the philanthropic foundation funded solely by the General Electric Company, gave the Valley United Way a big lift with the announcement of a $20,000 donation to the 1999-2000 campaign. Ron Villani, Manager of Human Resources at GE Supply in Shelton and a member of Valley United Way's Board of Directors delivered the good news.  United Way Executive Director Jack Walsh thanked Ron and the Fund for their generous support. He said that, "GE is not only a leader in the corporate world, but also in the philanthropic world. Their example helps inspire other businesses in the community to get involved in the quality of life in the Valley." He noted that the GE Fund supports over 120 United Ways all across America.

In addition to the donation from the Foundation, GE also conducts an excellent campaign among their employees across the country. Click here to see what went on in Shelton.
