Community Corporate Cup 2008

PerkinElmer's #2 team took no prisoners as they ran away with the 2008 Community Corporate Cup Bowling Tournament title by a wide margin over the other 23 teams in the event. The winning team got off to a 66 pin lead with a strong 697 in the first game and then extended it to 215 pins with a 778 score in the second game. They slipped back to a 648 in the third game, but that was also the best score in the third game resulting in their final 244 pin margin.

Rocky Santorelli paced the winning team with a 593 triple which was the best on the day. Teammate Leon Manderona had the high single for the day with a 213 total. Other members of the winning team were Jan Jurgielewicz and Dave Hager. Jurgielewicz and Manderona were members of Perking Elmer's winning teams in the 2004 and 2005 Corporate Cup bowling events.

Perennial contender and 2003 winners Gordon Rubber finished in the runners-up position with a total pin fall of 1879. PerkinElmer's # 1 team finished third with a score of 1794. Team's "A" team finished fourth with 1718 which was 10 pins better that Griffin Hospital's Adjustments team which had a 1708 - only 3 pins better than Hawley Lane's #1 team score of 1705.
