Valley United Way is pleased to have a new intern volunteering in the office during the fall semester - and she's no stranger to United Way! Sara German is completing her final semester at Central Connecticut State University. She will be receiving her bachelor's degree in communications while studying public relations with a minor in political science. Sara is President of the CCSU Communication Club, Student Coordinator of the CCSU/New Britain Middle School Mentorship Program and regular on the dean's list. What makes Sara so special for her work with United Way is her own background with United Way. While a student at Ansonia High School, she was a member of both the Youth Leadership Program and the High School Volunteer. Jack Walsh, President & C.O.O. of Valley United Way said, "We are thrilled to have Sara help us with our marketing efforts. She was an outstanding member of our Youth Leadership Program, and it's great to have her come back to help us as she completes her college years and embarks on her own career". |
